NK Construction Ltd were employed to design and build a 10 bedroomed facility to provide accommodation and associated facilities for adults with learning difficulties. This building incorporated an en-suite in each bedroom with vital hoisting and specialist bathing facilities – there is also a communal living area and a garden.
At a sod-cutting ceremony to mark the start of construction work, the Member for Adult Social Care Services, David Quirk MHK, said: ‘We are fortunate to be able to invest in new facilities like this, which will serve some of the most vulnerable members of our community. Providing modern and fit-for-purpose accommodation makes a real difference to the quality of life of residents and helps us to deliver our care to a high standard.”
